In honor of my two friends, Randi and Cindi, whose sons have autism...
April is autism awareness month!
I've learned a lot from these two very special ladies who face head on, every day! I've saw their courage, love, patience, and determination to help their sons overcome many obstacles that most of us take for granted.
Autism affects 1 in 88 children...1 in every 54 boys!

Well said...
Was just on Pinterest (I have a link on my main page where you can follow me on there, too!)...
Found a quote on there that reads:
"You know you're a mom when you voluntarily hold out your hand for your child to place in it...the booger that they just picked from their nose!"
Does that sound familiar in your home, too?

Busy weekend
Our 17th wedding anniversary is today! Yay to me and the hubs! Celebrating is going to have to wait until next weekend....we need to finish up some things around the house before the hubby leaves for a business trip!
We spent yesterday by taking the kids to Lego Kids Fest in Cincinnati, OH. I've never saw so many Lego's all in one place. The kids loved it and there was so much to do and so little time (you buy tickets for one session that lasts about 4 hours and there are two sessions a day). They gave away Legos if you participated in certain events like a group build to assemble parts to a huge Kai (the red Ninjago). It's for all age groups and with so many different things to do, your kids won't get bored. I don't want to give away all of the good stuff you'll find there so I'm including a link to the Lego Kids Fest website!
If you've got a Lego Fanatic in your house, it's worth it!
Visit: http://legokidsfest.com/ for more information or to see if it's coming to a city near you!

My youngest with his favorite, Cole...the black Ninja!
Today, we're finishing off the kid's clubhouse...here's a sneak peak of what we've been working on for the last couple weekends.
It's post more on this at a later time...once the clubhouse is finished and I'll give you all info on where to find the plans and how to make one yourself!
